Petition to protest against car parking charges

Published in Brentwood Weekly News on Tue 14th Apr 2009

CAMPAIGNERS have launched a petition to protest against rising car parking charges in Brentwood.

The Liberal Democrat group are urging residents to come forward and sign the petition, which will ask the new leader of Brentwood Council to reconsider increasing the price of parking in the borough.

The petition also claims the recently introduced scheme of overnight parking at Coptfold Road and Westbury Road is too expensive at £520 and £360 per year respectively.

In addition, the group is also protesting about the introduction of charges at the town hall car parks in Ingrave Road at weekends.
